Linda has long been a trusted technology advisor to large financial institutions, trading firms and hedge funds. Based on her wealth of experience and industry contacts, Linda helps YJT’s clients craft winning IT management strategies and design engagements that maximize top- and bottom-line returns on their technology investments. She is also responsible for guiding YJT’s services strategy as the IT landscape heads through another phase of rapid and tumultuous change. Linda received her Masters from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and began her career at Accenture, where she served as a manager within their Financial Services practice.
Linda formed an Advisory Board in 2012 to help develop, position, and grow the company to become Chicago’s leading Managed Services Provider. One of the original board members, Lane Smith, became so enthusiastic about the firm that he approached Linda about taking on a full-time key leadership role. In May, 2013, Lane became YJT’s Director of Operations.
Lane is responsible for successfully running all operations at YJT. He started his career deeply rooted in IT, managing computer networks and systems before moving into management and senior leadership. Lane spent eleven years as CEO and President of Do IT Smarter, a leading Master Managed Services Provider focused on transitioning VARs to MSPs. Through programs, initiatives and community involvement Lane has been influential in the managed services industry since its beginning and recognized by many as a true Pioneer in the managed services industry. For the last 13 years and just prior to joining YJT full-time, Lane has been focused on helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. In 2008, 2009 and again in 2010, Smith was named to MSPmentor 250, an annual list of executives, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who help shape the global managed services market.
Chris has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry and is currently serving as Board Director for VelociData and Bluenog, in addition to YJT Solutions. He held a variety of executive positions at CA Technologies—including CEO of Nimsoft, EVP of the Cloud Products & Solutions Business Line, where he was responsible for developing and executing strategy for the company’s Cloud Management and IT Management SaaS solutions and EVP/GM of the Mainframe Business Unit. Chris was also a leader in the acquisition of Nimsoft, 3Tera, Inteq and Oblicore by CA Technologies. Earlier, Chris held sales and management positions at Applied Data Research, Inc.
Iain was Chief Architect and Senior Executive at Accenture where he worked for over twenty years, managing 1,000 employees worldwide and handling quality assurance reviews for the firm’s most demanding client projects. Since then, Iain has held an adjunct professor role at Northwestern University’s Masters of Engineering Management Program, joined SCORE (a free business counseling and management consulting resource for entrepreneurs) as a Counselor and become an expert witness and CEO of Fair Opinion, an expert witness and consulting firm that provides testimony in legal cases in the field of information technology and computer software.
Frank, former Solution Provider CEO and 4-Profit team member, has a proven track record of successfully building growth oriented advanced technology services organizations. Since 2003, his leadership and strategy have grown $35M VARs into $200M Solution Providers. Frank has coordinated acquisitions and the sale for his company and others. Despite a poor economy and waves of industry turnover, Frank created a national brand as a go-to partner for Cisco/MSFT/EMC/VMware and Citrix. Prior to joining the channel in 2003, Frank worked for 6 years at Cisco Systems and 17 years at AT&T/Lucent Technologies. During these 23 years Frank held numerous assignments both in sales, services and corporate. While at Cisco, beyond running field sales and service, Frank helped create the Cisco Commercial Model, Cisco’s channel partner strategy, as well as helped create/run the Tiger team that developed the revised go-to-market strategy for VOIP globally.
